YEP's Board Announcement

Youth Empowered to Prosper (YEP) is expanding its Board of Directors and committees. YEP develops the mindset and skillset of challenged youth ages 13 to 22 through mentorship and real-life experiences focused on character-building, education and leadership, job and money management, uplifting others and personal wellness. We are seeking volunteer leadership positions to steer the organization toward a sustainable future by adopting governance and financial policies while making sure YEP has resources to advance the mission. 

Mission:

We develop the power, mindset and skillset within youth to rise above challenges, chart a path to prosperity, and grow into leaders of a better world.

We are a nimble organization looking for professionals in the community who are passionate about our mission and engender at least one of the 4 D’s: a Doer, a Donor, a Door Opener, and a person who brings Diversity to the existing Board (profession, ethnicity, race, background, language, etc.)


Specific Board member skillsets /professions in demand

·      Fundraiser

·      Marketing/communications

·      Social media

·      Event planning

·      Education champions (school District personnel)

·      Entrepreneurs

·      Financial services including CPA and Estate Planner

·      Attorneys (estate, contract, copyright, etc)

·      Mental health professionals

·      Farmers / artists

.      HR


Commitment: 

a minimum of one year term; attend and participate in monthly virtual meetings; willing to make a financial commitment to the organization because you believe in the work we do and the impact on the youth we serve, their families and the community. 


Committee members 

·      Financial team (Financial Advisor, Estate and Wealth planning professional, CPA, etc.)

·      Fundraiser, Event planner, Artist

·      Marketing team (PR, social media, graphic designer, branding professionals)
