When you were young, did you believe in yourself?

Could you overcome obstacles on your own? Did you know how to think about the future and plan for college?

Whether your answer is yes or no — you now understand the importance these abilities make in a young person’s life. At YEP, we want every young person to have the support and skills they need to believe in themselves, meet challenges, and not only prepare for the future, but change it for the better.

When you were young, did you have a clear path to reach your goals?

1 in 3 young people will grow through their critical teen years without a mentor from a formal program or informal family friend or community member. Without adult guidance, they are disconnected from a supportive resource that helps them navigate the big questions as well as the smaller but vital ones — like how to land a part-time job and save for your first car.

When you were young, did you want to make the world better?

At every age, every day, we can still make the world better. Youth Empowered to Prosper offers adults meaningful opportunities to support promising young people who need compassionate guidance and inspiration to see past their fears and challenges to grow in character, leadership and prosperity.
